Sylvester Stallone isn’t done kicking ass and taking names as Dwight “The General” Manfredi just yet. On Monday, Paramount+ officially announced that it is renewing Stallone’s hit crime drama, Tulsa King, for a fifth season. The massive vote of confidence comes early, well ahead of the show’s anticipated fourth-season premiere on October 16.
Back to the Big Apple
Production for Tulsa King Season 5 recently kicked off in New York, a brand-new filming location that brings the narrative full circle by playing host to Manfredi’s deep mafia roots. The new season got an enthusiastic green light after Stallone inked a fresh deal with the studio to keep the franchise running strong.
Family Ties and New Faces
Family ties remain tight both on and off screen: returning for Season 5 is Stallone’s real-life daughter, Scarlet Rose Stallone, whose character, Spencer, is officially being promoted to a series regular. Joining the expanding ensemble and taking center stage for the fifth season are Erik Palladino (I Play Rocky), Glenn Fleshler (Billions), Anthony Skordi (The Last Frontier), and Nickola Shreli (Power Book IV: Force).
“We are thrilled to bring fans even more of this incredible series, and to be shooting the next season of Tulsa King in New York, where Dwight Manfredi’s story will continue to evolve. We’re proud of the work we’ve done in Georgia, and it remains an important venue for us,” shared Drew Brown, EVP of Physical Production at Paramount Television Studios.
Chaos on the Horizon
Meanwhile, the official description for the upcoming fourth season promises high stakes: “Dwight fights to legitimize his empire and protect his crew as corrupt politicians, dangerous new enemies, and a crushing personal loss hit from every direction. However, every hard-won gain comes with even harder truths: about loyalty, leadership and the cost of ambition. Each move drags Dwight deeper into the street instincts he left behind in New York – turning Tulsa into a battleground and Dwight into the one threat no one can afford to underestimate.”
In addition to Stallone, Season 4 stars Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Frank Grillo, Mike “Cash Flo” Walden, James Russo, Kevin Pollak, and Neal McDonough, alongside Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany. Gretchen Mol also joins the cast as a series regular, playing Amanda Clark, a sharp political strategist deeply entrenched in local corruption.
