We know that you don’t want to read anything that begins “From the producers of TWILIGHT”, but dammit, it’s a holiday here in the US and news is slow. Besides, this sounds like it has some potential…

From the producers of (and the studio behind) TWILIGHT comes DEADMAIL, an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Laurie Frankel. The supernatural romance doesn’t hit bookshelves until next year.

The novel is a love story about letting go, where a computer genius invents a way for people to email loved ones who have passed on. When he unexpectedly loses the woman he loves, he must face his own creation to keep her close or lose her forever.

Sure, sounds a bit sappy, but we’re not soulless monsters here, we’re able to open our hearts to a potentially haunting love story. (Unless it turns out to be crap; then we’ll tear it to puny shreds.)

No screenwriter has been attached yet, so this is a long way. Once we hear more about it, we’ll decided whether or not it’s worthy of our faithful readers’ attention.
