Hot off our F*CK YOU rant to all things TWILIGHT, The Hollywood Reporter announced more fuel to our ‘f*ck you’ fire: Summit Entertainment has swooped up the film rights to all three of the book’s sequels. And you thought there wouldn’t be more TWILIGHT to come…
NEW MOON, ECLIPSE, and BREAKING DAWN are now in the works to make it to the big screen. Written by Stephanie Meyers (with film adaptations of MOON and ECLIPSE by Melissa Rosenberg), the new sequels bring this shit to a whole new level. Ready for some spoilers? Check it: “Twilight” revolves around the relationship between an average teenage girl, Bella, and a vampire, Edward. In “New Moon,” Edward leaves Bella, sending Bella into a depression and a friendship with another vampire. In the third book, “Eclipse,” that relationship triangle evolves, while evil empires begin to pursue Bella. “Breaking Dawn” pushes the plot further with a marriage between Bella and Edward.
If you didn’t know how the relationship between Bella and Edward was going to end, I hope that ruined it for you. Me, I could give a f*ck about this series so I could give a f*ck if I just found what happens to those two. All I can think about is how that means I’ll have to see Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson on the big screen together for three more movies, and that’s just sucky.
Of course, making more of these flicks is based on whether TWILIGHT will be a success or not… which, at this point, is a no brainer. TWILIGHT hits theaters in one week, stick around for more updates on the sequels as they surface.
Are you f*cking kidding me?
