Further proof that the world has gone crazy, reports are coming in from San Francisco this morning. Yesterday, before the appearance of Robert Pattinson signing autographs in preparation for next week’s TWILIGHT release, the huge mob of teens who turned out for the event went out of control. Not in an innocent “you’re my idol’ way, but in a crazed ‘get out of my way or I’ll kill you’ way.
Apparently the crowd at the Stonestown Galleria got so large and out of control (about 10 times larger than anyone had expected), that kids were trampled noses were broken, and people fainted. To see one dude. In a movie. That hasn’t even come out yet. Bah!
The irony of it all? After the cops showed up due to the incidents of broken noses and trampled kids, the signing event was canceled. All that for nothing. The crazy thing is, I have a feeling more shit like this is gonna happen as the week goes on, and next week, when it finally hits, theaters will be taken over by bloodthirsty teenagers and stay at home moms who can’t get enough of their vampire romance novels. In a nutshell, madness.
F*ck this movie. TWILIGHT hits theaters November 21st, and check out the full story by clicking HERE).
