It has just been announced that Charlie Sheen (aka Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn) will be toplining a new horror project for the father of the SAW franchise, Twisted Pictures. The flick was formerly known as TORTURED, but has since been changed to the “way catchier” moniker of UNTITLED TWISTED PICTURE. But hold the phone! We’ve got ourselves a plot outline:
The film is a journey of an average, loving couple, CRAIG (Sheen) and ELISE, who hit their limit after they experience the loss of their 5 -year old son to a pedophile. Once the judicial system also fails to deliver, the couple is forced to turn inside and releases the animal that lives within all civilized people. The picture is quite compelling, the ending is unpredictable and the film has a moral message.
The flick is directed by Robert Lieberman who also helmed the sometimes-scary FIRE IN THE SKY. Not sure what my feelings are about this yet. The plot sounds a tad like DEATH SENTENCE (which The Arrow absolutely loved). And Sheen hasn’t made a horror movie since THE WRAITH (SCARY MOVIE 3 does NOT count!). But I’m willing to withhold any more judgement until more develops with this UNTITLED TWISTED PICTURE
