In advance of the premiere of the new TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION trailer this evening we have two new character posters featuring Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz. Continuing the focus on the human characters, these are similar to yesterday’s Mark Wahlberg poster. The only change is the tagline “The Rules Have Changed” is now at the top of the image in big, bold font. I am still not sure exactly what rules are changed compared to the three previous movies, but we may find out tonight.

What we do know is that Mark Wahlberg plays Cade Yeager, a mechanic and father to Tessa (Peltz). Her boyfriend is Shane (Reynor) and the trio are pulled into the middle of the Autobots and Decepticons somehow. Obviously hilarity ensues that may or may not have to do with the sword-gun that Wahlberg brandishes in his poster.

I am not entirely convinced TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION will be a game-changer since Bay and screenwriter Ehren Kruger are returning from the prior films and we all know how good those were. Hopefully the supporting cast that includes Stanley Tucci, Bingbing Li, Titus Welliver, T.J. Miller, and Kelsey Grammer will do something to elevate this movie.

Stay tuned for the new trailer tonight and check out TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION when it hits theaters on June 27, 2014.
