I’ve always had a fascination with
POLTERGEIST 3. Why? Maybe its the spooky use of mirrors
in the film. Or maybe its the fact that it was HEATHER O ROURKE’S last
performance (she sadly died during the shoot).
Or maybe its all the hoop-la
surrounding the flick
in terms of "an original ending" that was or wasn’t shot. Site reader David has been on a Poltergeist 3
quest for a while now, trying to find out what’s what and here’s what he
came up with.
– He learned through talking to MGM that
there are
over
100 boxes of film footage related to "Poltergeist III" in the MGM
archives
–
MGM
has no plans for a Special Edition DVD. They do not have the time/money to
search through the boxes to look for the additional deleted scenes or
the original ending.
– It’s
"possible" that the original ending
is included somewhere in one of these boxes, but they won’t be looking for
it anytime soon.
I don’t know about you crazy
mofos-ettes but if there’s an alternate ending out there and some deleted
scenes. I WANT TO SEE THEM! If you feel the same way, E-mail MGM

let them know you want that Poltergeist 3 Special Edition DVD
yesterday!
