Whatever happened to the Angela Bettis-starring 3D slasher SCAR? It always seemed like such a cool flick to me, yet I never heard of a specific release. Well, perhaps that’s because I was only searching the U.S. Apparently, SCAR is indeed opening in the UK on November 7th with a special sneak preview on Halloween.
Those rascally rabbits over at Shock Till You Drop caught sight of SCAR’s latest poster (up top) hanging around the London subway system. I definitely dig the way the title is written as well as that bloody face. Even if I didn’t already want to see it, that one-sheet would be one great convincer. Maybe the plot could help convince you too:
Joan Burrows returns to her hometown for her niece’s graduation, only to be confronted by the serial killer she thought she offed years ago — after he kidnapped and tormented her and her best friend.
With the long list of 3D horror flicks coming out next year, hopefully SCAR will have a good shot a securing a U.S. release. Having Bettis (MAY, TOOLBOX MURDERS) on board is a big plus too. The film also stars Kirby Bliss Blanton (below), Devon Graye, Ben Cotton, and Christopher Titus. It was directed by Jed Weintrob from a script by Zack Ford.
