Unknown director Jaume Collet-Serra goes down The River for Oren Peli

Filmmaker Jaume Collet-Serra is moving right along in the industry, isn’t he? After bringing us the entertaining slasher HOUSE OF WAX Collet-Serra went on to direct 2009’s ORPHAN and the upcoming Liam Neeson thriller UNKNOWN. So what could he possibly have lined up next?

Well according to the fine folks over at Deadline Hollywood Collet-Serra’s next project will be the Oren Peli-produced ABC pilot “The River.” Sound familiar? It should because we told you about this shite back in September.

Described as being in the mold of Paranormal Activity, The River centers on a family who travels to the deep Amazon to locate and rescue their missing father.

Collet-Serra (above) will be making his television directing debut on the horror drama, which comes from a script by Peli, Michael Perry and Michael Green. Unfortunately there’s no telling when things will get rolling on “The River” but you can bet as soon as we find out more we’ll tell you all about it!
