While not the sexiest of headlines, THR is indeed reporting that a select group of films are being chosen to take advantage of California tax credits from the state's incentives program to begin production soon. This includes an as-of-yet untitled Jordan Peterson horror film – one of two he inked a deal with Universal to make.
Other films include the Russo Brothers action film GRAY MAN, and an untitled horror-comedy from Chris Miller and Phil Lord (CLONE HIGH, THE LEGO MOVIE)!
Says California film commission executive director Colleen Bell about the proposition:
After announcing two relocating TV series earlier this month, our new tax credit program continues to get off to a great start with today’s list of film projects…Production activity is ramping back up in California amid COVID-19 with safety remaining a top priority, and Program 3.0 is attracting the kind of big budget films that will generate a considerable amount of jobs and in-state spending.
So what do you guys think? Either way, sound off below!
