UPDATE: Winds up this was BS.
Actor Keanu Reeves recently gave a speach at the London International School Of Performing Arts, in which he revealed that a couple more MATRIX films may be in the works.
Reeves said he recently met with the Wachowskis, who wrote and directed the trilogy. They have a two-picture script treatment for new MATRIX films that call for Reeves’ return as Neo. They have met with James Cameron to discuss the pros and cons of shooting in 3D.
Fans are understandable weary after the weaker sequels, but Reeves assured the audience that he would deliver a movie worthy of the title. He also said that the movies would revolutionize the action genre like the first did. Nothing is official at the moment, but talks will resume once the Wachowskis complete their current project, CLOUD ATLAS.
Reeves also stated that the Wachowskis recently sold the most expensive script in history to Warner Bros for $5 million. The film is a futuristic take on the tale of Robin Hood. Reeves described it as an action movie with the same visual and technical impact of TERMINATOR 2. Will Smith is attached to star.
Are you ready for more MATRIX films, or are you happy with the trilogy as it is?
