It has been quite a while since we wrote about the sci-fi thriller ALIEN SLEEPER CELL – our last story came in 2011 – but the invasion pic still has blood running through its veins, as evidenced by today’s news that James McTeigue (V FOR VENDETTA, THE RAVEN) has come aboard the film to direct.

Plot details are under wraps, but it’s being compared to THE BOURNE IDENTITY and the FX series “The Americans.” Only, you know, with aliens. (Alien terrorists hiding in plain sight?)

Morgan Davis Foehl wrote the script, while Prime Universe Films and ScanBox Studios will produce. International deals are already being made at the Toronto International Film Festival.
