Wow, this one was an ambush to me, but I’d say it looks worthwhile — Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson in VACANCY, a dark thriller about a stranded couple who get trapped and tormented at a remote roadside motel. The rather effective trailer just showed up online, and now Fango brings out this simplistic but appropriate poster.
What really has my interest is director Nimrod Antal — I really dug his last effort KONTROLL, a murky, idiosyncratic and sometimes inscrutable Hungarian flick set entirely in the Budapest subway system (Netflix it!). And hey, you wanna throw Beckinsale into the deal? I’m ready to check in right next door, babe. No baggage.
