Well here’s a tidbit of news that actually has me somewhat interested in the next SPIDER-MAN film. After that monstrosity that was SPIDER-MAN 3 we have a glimmer of hope.
It seems Mr. Sam Raimi recently spoke to Empire Magazine and had the following to say: “I like it in the Marvel comics when Spider-Man fights Morbius… A vampire! I like that combination of superhero plus supernatural.” Oh Sam… I like it too!
Mind you this is just Raimi giving his opinion… but I’d imagine the man has some say in SPIDER-MAN 4. The talk around town is that The Lizard will be the villain in the next flick, which has already scored both Tobey Maguire returning as well as Raimi. Last I heard Kirsten Dunst (below) was still up in the air, for good reason too. She’s just bad. Horrible even. But I’m here to talk about a vampire!
So what says you? Do you think Morbius would be a viable villain for Spidey come the fourth installment? I can see a combination of both he and The Lizard working, considering both are doctors that went through some harsh transformations. What other villains can we see? Personally my favorite Spider-Man villain has always been Shocker. Don’t ask me why, but I’m a big fan of that plaid wearing madman. Though even I’ll admit that Shocker would never be able to carry a flick as the main villain. But can’t we get a little sidestory? Come on Sam!
We’ll be keeping an eye on anything SPIDER-MAN 4, esecpially if this Morbius business pans out! So keep it here for updates!
