One thing we like to do over on the JoBlo Horror Originals YouTube Channel is to shine a spotlight on horror short films. It had been a while since we’ve updated the horror short film showcase playlist, but today we have a new addition to share with you: director Matt S. Bell’s Vamped! You can watch the short film in the embed above.

Vamped tells the story of

a vampire bite that changes the lives of a group of small-town nerds forever.

Donny Broussard, Gayle James, David M. Lawson, Thomas Johnston, Rachel G. Whittle, Amy Wickenheiser, and Jeff Pearson star.

Here’s some information on the filmmaker:

Matt S. Bell was born and raised in the heart of Louisiana where he began his career as a photographer before moving into motion pictures.

After graduating with a BFA in Photography, he began his career as a cinematographer with several notable network feature films. Matt has since developed a portfolio of more than 25 films including Santa Jaws (Syfy), A Day in the Life of America (Paradox, Jared Leto), The Requin (Saban Entertainment), and many more documentaries and independent films.

In the future, Matt plans on expanding his growing career as a cinematographer to include directing features.

We recently got our hands on the trailer for the shark thriller The Requin, which Bell was the cinematographer on. The trailer can be viewed below, so you can get a preview of the images Bell captured for that one.

In addition to showcasing short films, we also have a whole lot of our own original content on the JoBlo Horror Originals YouTube Channel (thus the name of the channel). Click the link to check out the shows we have there, and subscribe while you’re at it!
