Well here’s something I never thought I’d see happen: There’s a comic book in the works based on the life of author Anne Rice!

I kid you not ladies and gentlemen, you read that right. Bluewater Productions are working on a biography comic called FEMALE FORCE: ANNE RICE, which will ‘follow the popular novelist from her formative years in her beloved New Orleans through the tragedies that influenced the creation of her most popular novels and her fervent rediscovery of Catholicism.

The press release we received today has Louie Demartinis illustrating with Scott Davis penning the issue. Davis had the following to say:
“Anne Rice’s uniquely gothic, sensuous, and existential approach redefined the modern vampire mythology. She advanced the vampire literary genre more than anyone since Bram Stoker.”

Ready for the kicker? Apparently a ‘very recognizable and iconic’ vampire will servce as the narrator for FEMALE FORCE: ANNE RICE.

Bluewater President Darren Davis adds: “What I think fans will enjoy is the format of Rice being interviewed by a vampire as a nod to her seminal novel Interview with a Vampire. This allows the Rice to provide added insight to her own story. Accordingly the vampire narrator adds his own spin as well.”

And here’s the rundown from Amazon: Anne Rice’s uniquely gothic, sensuous, and existential approach redefined the modern vampire mythology. Shaped by personal tragedies, critical successes and failures, and a fervent rediscovery of her Catholic roots, Rice has penned over 27 novels from supernatural to historical tomes, erotica and religious themes. But Anne Rice’s life is just as interesting as the tales she spins. This expanded collector’s version includes several special extras including a pictorial tour of Rice’s beloved New Orleans, a brief overview of the origins of the vampire myth, and an illustrated bibliography.

The 40-page comic is due to hit shelves on June 29th with a price tag of $7. Why wait though? You can PRE-ORDER THIS SHITE RIGHT NOW!
