Considering I ended last week with a treat for you guys in the form of a badass viral clip from Jim Mickle’s STAKE LAND I thought it would only be fitting if I started the week with another STAKE LAND good to show you guys!
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a new poster for the potentially awesome vampire flick so when I saw this little diddy floating around I just had to stop and show you guys. That’s right folks, a badass new one-sheet for STAKE LAND! I can go ahead and explain the poster to you all or you can just scroll directly below and check it our for yourselves. America is a lost nation. When an epidemic of vampirism strikes, humans find themselves on the run from vicious, feral beasts. Cities are tombs and survivors cling together in rural pockets, fearful of nightfall. When his family is slaughtered, young Martin is taken under the wing of a grizzled, wayward hunter whose new prey are the undead.
Simply known as Mister, the vampire stalker takes Martin on a journey through the locked-down towns of America’s heartland, searching for a better place while taking down any bloodsuckers that cross their path. Along the way they recruit fellow travellers, including a nun who is caught in a crisis of faith when her followers turn into ravenous beasts. This ragtag family unit cautiously moves north, avoiding major thoroughfares that have been seized by The Brethren, a fundamentalist militia headed by Jebedia Loven that sees the plague as the Lord’s work.
STAKE LAND stars Connor Paolo, Nick Damici, Kelly McGillis, Michael Cerveris and Danielle Harris (below) and is set to come our way on April 22nd.
