Videos go behind the scenes of Neil Marshall’s Hellboy

In less than three weeks, there's going to be a whole new HELLBOY on the big screen. While the previous two HELLBOY films were directed by Guillermo del Toro and starred Ron Perlman as the title character, this new film has been directed by Neil Marshall (DOG SOLDIERS, THE DESCENT) and stars David Harbour of Stranger Things as the heroic demon.

To help you get ready for the new Hellboy's arrival, we have a couple videos to share today that offer a look behind the scenes of the making of the new movie.

First up is a featurette in which clips from the film (and images from the comic book source material) are mixed with talking head interviews with Hellboy comic book creator Mike Mignola, Harbour, and Harbour's co-stars Sasha Lane, Daniel Dae Kim, Ian McShane, and Milla Jovovich. The promise is that this new movie is going to be an "impressive spectacle" that will be more faithful to Mignola's comics than the other movies were.

Then we have a video in which JoBlo's Paul Shirey shares the information he learned while visiting the set of the film during production last year. If you'd like to read his set visit report rather than watch the video, you can do so at THIS LINK.

Written by Mignola, Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden, and Aron Coleite, this HELLBOY finds

Hellboy, along with his team of paranormal researchers, trying to save the world from a medieval sorceress who wants to destroy humankind.

In addition to the actors mentioned above, the cast also includes Penelope Mitchell, Sophie Okonedo, Alistair Petrie, Brian Gleeson, and (maybe, it's a rumor) Thomas Haden Church as Lobster Johnson.

HELLBOY is scheduled to be released on April 12th, and I'm looking forward to seeing how Marshall and Harbour have done with their take on the concept.
