I have to admit this one has coasted under my radar, but I just checked out the Official Website for INCIDENT AT BLOOD GORGE and I’m a little bit excited. The site itself is pretty bare bones, but the concept rocks and what they do have to share looks solid.
Starting with the logline “You taste better when you’re afraid”, how can you not want to check this puppy out? Here’s a taste of what’s going on:
Stationed on the world’s highest battlefield, a skeleton crew of U.S. soldiers fights with the elements and the gnawing isolation. The routine is broken when a blizzard forces some climbers to seek shelter at the base.
As the storm outside intensifies, one of the mountain guides relates a legend. A ghost story about ancient battles fought by immortals on the glacier. The tale ends with a warning: If man chooses to fight over land already won by the gods, then let the demons be raised to feed on them.
As the blizzard buries them alive, one by one they meet with horrible deaths. Is one of them a killer? Or is the climber’s tale prophecy?
Sounds like bloody, crunchy good times. Another interesting aspect is that the whole tale is told through three distinct cameras – the interrogation cam for the survivor telling the tale, a hand held cam belonging to one of the climbers, and a static security cam.
Defnitely shows promise, and if you happen to be in New York on October 10th, you can check out this bad boy on the big screen!
