Woody Harrelson can do no wrong. It seems anytime we see Woody on film, we’re in for a great movie. KINGPIN and NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN are just two examples. So any news on Harrelson’s trip to the genre is A OK in my book.
On that note, it looks like Harrelson’s ZOMBIELAND has scored a release date. October 9, 2009. This is actually the first I’m hearing on ZOMBIELAND and I already can’t wait for it! It follows “the most frightened person on Earth” as he and a partner deal with a world attacked by the Undead. The two have no choice but to lead a group of survivors to potential safety. The flick is described as a horror/comedy by director Ruben Fleischer. It was penned by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
Now you see why I’m stoked for ZOMBIELAND? Woody Harrelson (above) scared sh*tless leading around a group of people while battling zombies in a comedic fashion. I’m definitely down. I recently seen THE GRAND, which in my opinion is one of Harrelson’s best performances, so I’m up for anything Woody throws at me! The other unfortunate leader will be played by Jesse Eisenberg.
Keep it here for any other ZOMBIELAND updates. Hopefully we’ll hear a bit more on the project while we await the October 9 release date. October? Awesome. I’d take ZOMBIELAND over SAW VI anyday.
