Voice from the Stone Emilia Clarke Eric D. Howell

There are some atmospheric shots among the stills that Momentum Pictures has provided from their upcoming release VOICE FROM THE STONE, but really nothing to indicate that director Eric D. Howell's film is actually a horror movie. Rest assured, however, that this is in the genre, and it's described as being a "haunting thriller".

The genre is obscured, but what these images do make quite clear is the fact that the movie stars Emilia Clarke. She's in every one of the shots, making her way through the 1950s Tuscany setting and playing piano.

Based on the Italian novel La Voce Della Pietra by Silvio Raffo, VOICE FROM THE STONE was written by Andrew Shaw and tells the story of

Verena, a solemn nurse drawn to aid a young boy named Jakob who has fallen silent since the untimely death of his mother nearly a year ago. Living with his father in a massive stone manor in Tuscany, Jakob not only refuses to speak, he seems to be under the spell of a malevolent force trapped within the stone walls. As Verena’s relationship with the father and son grow, she becomes ensnared and consumed by Malvina’s severe force. If she is to save the boy, and free herself, she must face the phantom hidden inside the stone.

Clarke's co-stars include Marton Csokas and Caterina Murino.

VOICE FROM THE STONE will be receiving an On Demand and Digital HD release on April 28th.
