The Hollywood Reporter announced this morning that genre director Tommy Lee Wallace, best known as the dude who directed the legendary HALLOWEEN 3 and FRIGHT NIGHT 2, has been snagged to direct another horror flick for FarCor Studio entitled HELLIVERSITY.
With a great title like that, what’s this bad boy about? Check it: HELLIVERSITY is the story of a group of American exchange students terrorized by a vengeful spirit while locked inside a high-security foreign university.
I’d think just being locked inside a university with no way of getting out sounds pretty damn horrifying by itself. Throw in some vengeful spirits and a few extra homework assignments, and you have hell on earth… hence the title, HELLIVERISITY.
Written by Wallace and Steve Langford, HELLIVERSITY is set to start filming in L.A. and India starting this March. Can Wallace bring the magic he displayed when he directed Stephen King’s IT, or will this be like his last STD, 2002’s VAMPIRES: LOS MUERTOS? Let’s hope he’s able to breathe some magic back into the genre!
