Want to see a Rob Zombie-directed commercial for Woolite?!

Here’s an odd little item, but certain to amuse: Apparently Rob Zombie took his talent for displaying grungy despair and horror to Woolite. Yes, Woolite the laundry detergent.

Obviously, the ad is tongue-in-cheek, showing us a masked torturer inflict cruel punishment on some helpless delicates. As Woolite’s Facebook page says, “Some detergents torture your clothes.” Words to live by…

According to Zombie (via an article in the NY Times), he pictures the ad being in the vein as a Tim Burton film, and the lead character more of a likable Uncle Fester type, not “like some child killer out in the woods.”

Tell that to the poor pink shirt…
