We recently got a look at the new banner for Matthijs van Heijningen Jr.’s THE THING prequel along with Eric’s set visit and here we are today with a look at the trailer for the flick!! Well… sort of.
You see THE THING happens to be a fairly highly anticipated project coming at us next year so when a bootleg form of the first trailer for the film finds it’s way onto YouTube… Well it’s no surprise that I’m going to tell you all about it! And the verdict? Aside from seeming more like a remake rather than a prequel this thing is looking pretty solid! Now the bootleg trailer is bootleg in every sense of the word. By that I mean half the thing is barely visible but hey, it’s better than nothing right? I’ve gone ahead and tossed that shite up over in our videos section, but if you don’t feel like clicking around you can just scroll below to give it a look.
At an Antarctica research site, as the discovery of an alien craft leads to a confrontation between graduate student Kate Lloyd and scientist Dr. Sander Halvorson. While Dr. Halvorson keeps to his research, Kate partners with Sam Carter, a helicopter pilot, to pursue the alien life form.
The film stars Joel Edgerton, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Eric Christian Olsen, Kim Bubbs, Jonathan Walker, Ulrich Thomsen, Stig Henrik Hoff and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. It’s due to hit theaters everywhere on April 29, 2011. As soon as we get a clear look at this trailer you can bet your ass we’ll bring it to your doorstep!
