With WANTED shooting up screens this weekend, what’s next for that movie’s screenwriters Michael Brandt and Derek Haas? How about… mutant animals?
The hot scribe duo are making a new action-horror spectacle called ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL, described as a JURASSIC PARK type of movie where mankind’s constant cocking up of the planet has caused rapid evolution of various voracious species.
Grander in scope than, say, DAY OF THE ANIMALS, the story finds the vestiges of humanity living in fear of consumption. “It’s not like dogs and cats are killing people, it’s that the strong have survived,” Brandt explains. “Lions and bears and animals like that have all evolved, and they’re slowly eating away at the human population.“
The project comes from Sony and producer Neal Moritz (xXx, STEALTH), so the man vs. beast battle should be plenty noisy.
