Shortly after directing the romantic comedy LONG SHOT, starring Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen, WARM BODIES director Jonathan Levine is gearing up to helm all eight episodes of Hulu's limited series NINE PERFECT STRANGERS. Based on Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty’s book of the same name, the upcoming project features a star-studded cast that includes Nicole KidmanMelissa McCarthy, Samara Weaving, Luke Evans, Melvin Gregg, Grace Van Patten, and Tiffany Boone.

Brought to you by David E. Kelley, Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories, Kidman’s Blossom Films, and Endeavor Content, NINE PERFECT STRANGERS will be co-written by Kelley, John Henry Butterworth and Samantha Strauss and co-showrun by Kelley and Butterworth.

Per Deadline, NINE PERFECT STRANGERS takes place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. Watching over them during this ten-day retreat is the resort’s director Masha (Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies.

While it remains unclear if NINE PERFECT STRANGERS will arrive as a horror-oriented affair, I must say that the thought of Levine and Papandrea reuniting for another project after the cult success of WARM BODIES has me rather intrigued. We'll be sure to keep a close eye on this one and will bring you any updates as this promising project develops.
