Warner Bros. releases new King Arthur: Legend of the Sword one-sheet

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

You know what? I think I've kinda warmed up to Guy Ritchie's new KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD movie. I'm not sure it looks good necessarily, but it does look fucking bonkers seeing Ritchie's classic over-stylized camera work mixed in with fantasy battles (including giant elephants!). So seems like it will at least be fun to look at. And the Led Zeppelin needledrops don't hurt, either.

Anyway, without further ado, here's a new boring ass one-sheet for the film, that honestly (even if it's bad) doesn't do it justice:

Jesus, it just looks like a dead-eyed male model showing off some shitty Abercrombie and Fitch winter wear. It's not compelling, bonkers, or cool like the recent trailers. It's just…fuckin' lazy. And boring. Two things that I doubt the final film will be.

Also here's the official synopsis:

Acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie brings his dynamic style to the epic fantasy action adventure “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.” Starring Charlie Hunnam in the title role, the film is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne. When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.

Either way, KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD will slice its way into theaters May 12th, 2017.
