Nickelodeon’s ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK revival series is headed our way THIS FRIDAY. And today we have the show's first episode to share with you guys! You can check it out below and the recently released trailer above. Then hit us up and let us know what you think below.
I for one know that as soon as my little ones get home from school (and finished their homework) I'm going to sit them down and watch this first episode with them. They love the old episodes I've shown them… well, other than "The Tale of Laughing in the Dark" with Zeebo the nightmare Clown and his dam cigars. That one was too scary for them. And I totally get that!
Written by Ben David Grabinski (SKIPTRACE) and directed by Dean Israelite (POWER RANGERS, PROJECT ALMANAC), the three-episode hourlong limited series introduces an entirely new Midnight Society group of kids who tell
a terrifying tale about the Carnival of Doom and its evil ringmaster Mr. Top Hat, only to witness the shocking story come frightfully to life.
The cast currently Sam Ashe Arnold (Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever.), Miya Cech (RIM OF THE WORLD), Tamara Smart (Artemis Fowl), Lyliana Wray (TOP GUN: MAVERICK), Rafael Casal (BLINDSPOTTING), and IT and GOOSEBUMPS 2: HAUNTED HALLOWEEN star Jeremy Taylor. Nice!
Arnold, Cech, Smart, Taylor, and Wray are the new members of the Midnight Society while Casal will be playing The Carnival of Doom’s ringmaster, Mr. Tophat. The limited series is produced by ACE Entertainment (TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE) with ACE founder Matt Kaplan and Spencer Berman serving as executive producers. Grabinski and Israelite also executive produce.
It premieres THIS FRIDAY at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT, with parts two and three to follow October 18, and October 25, 2019.
