If Ridley Scott is involved in a new ALIEN film AND Ripley herself gives it her full blessing, than I guess we’re in for a heck of a treat. Even if the lady won’t be in it even for a quick hello to her legions of fans.
Talking to the folks of MTV during Comic Con, the lady expressed how impossible it would seem to her having Ripley appear in the Alien-verse before the original film’s happenings, but nevertheless fully trusts her star-making director to successfully re-direct the franchise. “I’m glad Ridley’s connected to it because I know it will be classy,” was her own phrasing.
On the other hand, JJ found a way to bring back Nimoy in TREK, to great fan acclaim. Or at least mine. Would we want Ripley back in a similar way, should Scott find a suitable storyline? Or just let the character rest in peace? Head on over to MTV for more from Sig herself.
