Have you guys heard of Michael Bartlett and Kevin Gates’ THE ZOMBIE DIARIES? The flick came at us in late 2008 via Dimension Extreme apparently. Hell it’s news to me too! And what a bummer because it seems THE ZOMBIE DIARIES has collected quite the buzz:

“…the best zombie movie ever…”

“The Zombie Diaries makes zombie films scary again.”

“A bloody powerhouse of a horror movie.”

“Dark, uncompromising and frighteningly real.”

Not too shabby huh? Worry not folks, it shouldn’t be too hard to track this one down considering it’s already been out for over a year. But alas I’m not here today to speak to you about THE ZOMBIE DIARIES, oh no. Rather I’m here to tell you about THE ZOMBIE DIARIES 2! Well at least I’m here to tell you about the potential sequel…

I say potential film because it seems director Michael Bartlett and company are only halfway to making THE ZOMBIE DIARIES 2 a reality. The filmmaker recently updated his Twitter with the following ‘tweets:’

YES!!! Harvey and Bob Weinstein approve the US deal for THE ZOMBIE DIARIES 2. Almost there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Calm down everyone! We still need to sort out our UK deal before TZD2 is 100% green-lit. News to follow….

Well if The Weinsteins already gave it the Ok I’m sure it won’t have trouble getting a UK deal. Then again we ARE talking about The Weinsteins here…

So what says you guys? Anyone out there get the chance to check out THE ZOMBIE DIARIES? Is it worth the hype? And more importantly does it warrent a sequel? Hit us with your opinions below and keep it here for more on THE ZOMBIE DIARIES 2 as we hear it!
