What’s New to Watch on Blu-ray: Batman: Death in the Family, RWBY, & more!

Batman: Death in the Family, The Doorman, Blu-ray, October

Who's ready to bust out their wallet and pony up for some spankin' new Blu-rays? That's right, folks! Just because a vast majority of movie theaters are closed that doesn't mean that you can't enjoy some quality entertainment on your home theater set up. This week, the Dark Knight comes swooping onto shelves with the release of DC's BATMAN: DEATH IN THE FAMILY. This is something of a special release seeing as it's the very first DC animated movie where you get to decide the direction of Jason Todd's fate. It's like a Choose Your Own Adventure but with lots of crowbars and consequences for the Boy Wonder. Will you rescue one of Batman's many Robins or let him get blown to smithereens? Only you can decide!

Also hitting the Blu-ray scene this week is THE DOORMAN, starring Ruby Rose and Jean Reno. In this new action-thriller, a woman returns from combat and befriends a family in NYC. While there, a gang of thieves plots to take the family's valuables, and she is all that stands between them and their lives.

On the 4K front, both REQUIEM FOR A DREAM and DISTRICT 9 are getting gorgeous new 4K releases. If that's not your bag, how about Space Ghost & Dino Boy: The Complete Series or RWBY Vol. 7? All of that and more are destined for the Blu-ray market this week, plus a whole bunch of other gems like Arrow Video's version of THE LAST STARFIGHTER, The Flintstones: The Complete Series, The Criterion Collection's CLAUDINE, and more anime than is likely to be healthy for a solitary human being!
