Now and again I like to do this in the name of supporting the future of
genre filmmaking. Yes I’m talking plugging "short genre films" by
budding
filmmakers. I would actually like to to take the time to give some two cents of
advice. If you want your short pushed on our site or anywhere online for that
matter, I would recommend it be
accessible for viewing online or at least that it have an Official Site/MySpace
page for maximum exposure, but that’s just Uncle Arrow yapping. With that said,
here are four shorts that caught my attention this week!
"BAGMAN"

Synopsis: Some freak with a
paper bag on his head makes mince meat out of some dumb teens in gory Peter
Jackson-ish fashion.(Thx to Maarten for the heads up!)

"GRACE"
Written and Directed by Paul Solet
Synopsis: Madeline Matheson is eight
months pregnant, and determined to deliver her unborn child, Grace, naturally.
When an accident leaves Grace dead inside her, Madeline insists on carrying the
baby’s corpse to term. Weeks later, when Madeline delivers naturally, the child
miraculously returns to life. With an appetite for human blood.

"THE HUNTER"
Directed by Christian Viel
Synopsis:
During a drug bust gone wrong, a police woman
life is saved by a mysterious masked vigilante.
This one is an oldie but a goodie
shot by my good bud and partner in crime Christian Viel. Its actually a demo for
a planned feature that never happened due to bullshit…what else! It was a huge
hit at the 1998 AFM and deserves to be seen at least once!
"COUNTDOWN TO INFINITY"

Synopsis: Fate leads a young
ordinary man’s life on a dangerous turn when he comes into possession of a
mysterious briefcase.
