THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON is still far enough away that the main cast haven’t read the script yet, but tidbits continue to leak regarding characters that will be appearing in the highly anticipated sequel. With the plot looking to center on Tony Stark creating Ultron and then needing to team with The Avengers to stop his creation, there is a good likelihood that some IRON MAN alumni will appear in the film.

Bleeding Cool has gotten the scoop on a pair of IRON MAN characters that may figure into THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. The first one is Don Cheadle as War Machine himself, James Rhodes. Rhodey has figured prominently in all three IRON MAN movies and with Tony Stark giving up his armor at the end of IRON MAN 3, it is not outside the realm of reason to think that War Machine may have taken his place as a member of the team. We never saw the armor destroyed so that is a possibility.

The other casting is Simon McBurney who the site claims is playing Jarvis in the new film. Now, I said Jarvis and not J.A.R.V.I.S., so that role still seems to belong to Paul Bettany. The theory is that McBurney is playing an actual human named Jarvis, possibly Stark’s butler or the inspiration for his computer counterpart.

All we know is that Joss Whedon is throwing everything at THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON now that he has most of his cast in place. With new actors Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and James Spader aboard alongside Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, and Scarlett Johannson, the whole gang looks ready to kick some ass when the movie hits screens on May 1, 2015.
