Are you guys aware that Spain recently put together a supernatural comedy called GHOST GRADUATION? Well Will Smith is. And according to Variety his Overbrook Entertainment shingle has just snatched that shite up for a US remake!

Overbrook execs Smith, James Lassiter and Ken Stovitz closed the deal for GHOST GRADUATION Friday and are now looking for a writer to pen the remake. At this point there’s no plans to have Smith star in the feature and my guess is there won’t be. Described as having elements of GHOST, THE BREAKFAST CLUB and THE SIXTH SENSE, GHOST GRADUATION’s rundown reads:

Story centers on a teacher with paranormal abilities who helps a group of ghosts confined to the high school where they died years earlier in a fire.

No telling when things will get rolling on GHOST GRADUATION, which has Overbrook’s Gary Glushon overseeing, but you can bet as soon as we know more you will too!
