Willy’s Wonderland: Nicolas Cage horror film comes to Blu-ray next month

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Given a theatrical and digital release last month, the Nicolas Cage horror movie Willy's Wonderland (watch it HERE) didn't go over very well with our reviewer The Iceman – you can read his 5/10 review at THIS LINK – but if you're interested in checking this movie out and have been waiting for a physical media release, we have some good news for you: Willy's Wonderland is set to reach DVD and Blu-ray on April 13th, and the discs can be pre-ordered on Amazon.

Directed by Kevin Lewis from a screenplay by G.O. Parsons, the film has the following synopsis:

A quiet drifter is tricked into a janitorial job at the now condemned Wally's Wonderland. The mundane tasks suddenly become an all-out fight for survival against wave after wave of demonic animatronics. Fists fly, kicks land, titans clash — and only one side will make it out alive.

Cage's co-stars include Emily Tosta, Beth Grant, Ric Reitz, and Chris Warner.

Our friends over at Bloody-Disgusting managed to dig up the list of special features that will be on the disc releases:

– Featurette: The Making of Willy’s Wonderland

– Set Tour with Christian DelGrosso

– Colorful Darkness and The Demon-Atrons

– The production design of Willy’s Wonderland

– Teaser Character Artwork Gallery

– Character Posters Graphics Gallery

– Production Design Gallery

– Theatrical Trailer

I watched Willy's Wonderland last month and enjoyed it more than The Iceman did, but still not as much as I was hoping to. I do think it's worth a watch, though. It's a very strange movie that focuses on a silent Nicolas Cage chugging down something called Punch Pop between scenes of him beating the hell out of animatronic monsters. That makes Willy's Wonderland a must-see in my book, even if it's not as mind-blowing as it sounds.
