The non-traditional casting continues for Screen Gems VACANCY. We told you about Sarah Jessica Parker joining this tale here. Now Variety reports that Luke Wilson is in negotiations to play her husband in this tale of a couple unwittingly caught up in the making of a snuff film.
Hard to know how this’ll all play out. Certainly both actors have the ability to bring across the sense that they’re just ordinary people, which could be highly effective. But they will have to allow audiences to get past a pairing that seems more appropriate for MEET THE PARENTS 3 – SNAKES ON MOTHERFOCKERS PLANE, than a claustrophobic thriller.
Good luck to ’em both. I have to admit I’m very intrigued.
