Wolvie’s babe and more

To follow up our Stryker casting scoop, IESB has apparently discovered who’ll play Logan’s love interest Kayla Silverfox in the upcoming prequel X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE.

Although names such as Maggie Q and Michelle Monaghan were in the mix (and even Natalie Portman was mentioned by director Gavin Hood), the role reportedly has gone to the decidedly attractive Lynn Collins, who’s had supporting roles in recent movies like THE NUMBER 23, BUG, THE LAKE HOUSE and 13 GOING ON 30. Not an expected choice, but neither was Jackman back in the day.

Also, potential SPOILERS below…

The site Film School Rejects says that test footage of a rubber-suited actor was recently done for Fred Dukes, aka the Blob. The character, who possesses the mutant ability of extreme fatness, was in an earlier draft of the script as a former cellmate of Victor Creed (aka Sabretooth). It seems as though he’s one of the mutants to survive whatever rewrites took place.
