Tom Harper's sequel to THE WOMAN IN BLACK, subtitled ANGEL OF DEATH, is finally moving forward in earnest. The production, which takes place four decades after the events of the first film, has cast Jeremy Irvine (the lead in Steven Spielberg's WAR HORSE) and Phoebe Fox ("Switch") in two lead roles, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Original WOMAN IN BLACK author Susan Hill conjured up the story for ANGEL OF DEATH, which was writen by Jon Croker.
Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed children to Eel Marsh Harsh has awoken its darkest inhabitant. Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients but soon realizes she must save them from more than their own demons. Despite Eve’s efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black.
