Have you recently won the lottery? Are you someone who has always wanted to get into film production? Does the genre fan in you thrill at the thought of working with a badass horror mofo like Brian Yuzna? Well then have I got a deal for you.
You may or may not have heard of the currently in pre-production zombie flick WORST CASE SCENARIO. If so, then you’re probably already intrigued and psyched like yours truly. If not, then go check out the Promo Reel and prepare to get crunk!
So where do you come in? Well, like all movie projects, this puppy is in need of funding. To the tune of 5 Million Euros to be exact. That’s more than Greg Raymer won at the World Series of Poker last year BTW, but if you’re listening Fossilman, check this out.
Anyway, the menches at Gorehound Productions are doing all they can to get this thing done. Here’s a recent update from their website: The process of getting financing lined up for WORST CASE SCENARIO is taking MUCH longer than we envisioned.
So what’s happening? We ARE talking to companies that are willing to invest in WCS. Remember we’re talking € 5 Million – not exactly peanuts.
We now have a jaw-ripping screenplay, and we use the down-time to hone it like a knife. We also have a complete crew lined up and rearing to go and we’re shooting a second promo in April with the help of Dutch CGI-unit House of Secrets (check out their funny ‘Tyrants from Afar’). And we still get great coverage in all sorts of international press. Cannes Film Market is coming up in May and we’ll be doing more business there.
But we have to admit it: this is going WAY too slow and we’re as pissed off about it as you are, probably worse. One thing we can say, though. We ARE going to make this sucker, sooner or later.
So do your due dillegence and all that at the Official Site, but I encourage all rich as butt genre fans out there to take a looksie and maybe jump into the film bizness. Or at least enjoy one kick ass demo reel.
