Last week Ammon told you how McG was talking about his next project, TERMINATOR SALVATION: THE FUTURE BEGINS, and it’s been reported that Josh Brolin is set to be the next Terminator.

And remember last month? When we told you how a new hero was set to rise in the new TERMINATOR film. Well that hero now has a face in Sam Worthington.

According to Variety, James Cameron had recommended Worthington for the role in SALVATION to McG. As I’m sure you know, Cameron directed the first TERMINATOR and is currently working on AVATAR, which Worthington also starred in.

Worthington will be playing Marcus, the new hero of the franchise. In SALVATION Skynet has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust. A group of survivors led by John Connor (Christian Bale) struggles to keep the machines from finishing the job.

As always, we’ll keep you updated on any other TERMINATOR news.
