The Hollywood Reporter announced today that Platinum Studios have finally hired a couple of screenwriters for their comic book adaptation of DEAD OF NIGHT.

I don’t know whether to cringe, or jump for joy, as the dudes who wrote SAHARA are going to be behind this one. Joshua Oppenheimer and Tom Donnelly have signed up for the $35 million flick, which is based on the DYLAN DOG graphic novels.

It’ll be interesting to see how these boys handle horror, and how much of the comic they’ll be able to put up on the screen. Judging from the fan base here, they better not f*ck anything up, or they’re going to be in for a hurtin’!

Stay tuned for more info. on DEAD OF NIGHT as it comes about…
