Wrong Turn remake reveals new, tense clip

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

So I don't remember being a big fan of 2003's hillbilly exploitation slasher Wrong Turn (though it's worse sin might be its forgetfulness, as I don't remember much about it). However, that to me makes it a perfect candidate for a reboot – since rather than taking a classic and butchering it, it instead is taking something less known or well-regarded and injecting new blood into it. That's not to say the new Wrong Turn will be any better (remakes don't always turn out great…in fact, they often don't), but if it does suck, it at least won't tarnish any sort of reputation.

But, hey, you can check it out for yourself in a new, trap-laded clip at the top of the article! And below is the official synopsis:

Friends hiking the Appalachian Trail are confronted by 'The Foundation', a community of people who have lived in the mountains for hundreds of years.

Meanwhile, the new Wrong Turn – directed by Mike P. Nelson and starring Matthew Modine, Emma Dumont, and Charlotte Vega – will be stalking theaters January 26 (check your local listings).

So what do you guys think? Fans of the original film? If so, looking forward to the remake? Either way, sound off below!
