After an early career as a model and commercial actor, Jonathan Taylor Thomas entered millions of homes as the son of Tim Allen’s character on eight seasons of the hit show Home Improvement. In the 1990s, the teen heartthrob voiced young Simba in Disney’s The Lion King and appeared in several movies (Wild America, Tom and Huck, Man of the House and the absolutely dreadful The Adventures of Pinocchio – which got the Awfully Good treatment here) before taking a break for school… but he never really returned. 

That’s pretty crazy because, if you grew up in the nineties, Taylor Thomas was everywhere. His movies made him an idol among the teen set, and he seemed on the verge of becoming a full-fledged teen idol following I’ll Be Home For Christmas (which paired him with a young Jessica Biel), only to quit the biz in favor of a Harvard education. 

While he briefly reunited with his TV dad Tim Allen on the sitcom Last Man Standing, in recent years, an actual JTT sighting is nearly as rare as seeing Bigfoot. He’s not on social media, doesn’t court celebrity, and seems perfectly content living a low-key life.
