Wynonna Earp hunts demons in trailer for Syfy series

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It was near the end of July when we heard the news that Melanie Scrofano (SAW VI, NURSE 3D) had been cast in the title role of the Syfy series Wynonna Earp. With the premiere of Earp's thirteen episode first season now set to hit the airwaves in just two months, a trailer has made its way online and can be viewed below.

Based on the IDW comic book by Beau Smith, Wynonna Earp is

a fast-paced, contemporary thriller that follows Wyatt Earp’s great granddaughter as she battles demons and other supernatural beings. Wynonna is a witty and wild modern day gunslinger, using her unique abilities and a dysfunctional posse of allies to bring the paranormal to justice.

Tim Rozon and Shamier Anderson co-star as con man Doc Holliday and Agent Dolls, respectively.

Emily Andras developed the series and served as executive producer and showrunner.

Wynonna Earp starts hunting demons on Syfy April 1st. The trailer doesn't blow me away, but I dig the concept, so this is a show I'm interested in checking out.
