You Are Not Alone hits DVD in the UK on February 22, 2016

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Director Derek Mungor's "first person perspective" slasher YOU ARE NOT ALONE, a project which we first heard about back in 2012 (you can watch a trailer from 2014 here) has landed distribution in the UK from Sharp Teeth Films, who will be releasing it on DVD on February 22.

Written by Mungor and Chris O'Brien, YOU ARE NOT ALONE draws comparisons to classic horror films like HALLOWEEN and THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN as it tells the following story:

An idyllic summer day turns into a living nightmare…

With school finally over, college graduate Natalie Wilner returns to her hometown to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend. But beneath the flags and fireworks lurks a dark, malevolent figure. After a night of drunken parties, she stumbles home and drifts off to sleep, only to be woken moments later by a loud knock on the door.

Experience one night of terror, through Natalie’s eyes as she fights to escape a relentless, knife-wielding maniac…

Krista Dzialoszynski, David O’Brien, Mary Mikva, Keenan Camp, Nikki Pierce, and Eric Wood star.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE sounds really cool to me, so I'm glad to see that it's starting to make its way out into the world. I'm hoping that news of a US release won't be far behind this announcement.

The UK release can be pre-ordered at this link.
