You can take Wrecker home on January 5th

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

On January 5th, XLrator Media will be releasing a new entry in the truckin' thrills subgenre, a film entitled WRECKER, onto DVD. Starring Anna Hutchison and Drea Whitburn and directed by Michael Bafaro from a story he built from the ground up with Evan Tylor, WRECKER shows what happens when

best friends Emily and Lesley go on a road trip to the desert. When Emily decides to get off the highway and take a "short cut," they become the target of a relentless and psychotic trucker who forces them to play a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Psychotic trucker, you say? You've just guaranteed that I'll be watching your movie. From DUEL to JOY RIDE and ROAD GAMES in between, there is just something that is inherently appealing to me about road trip thrillers involving truck drivers. Maybe it's simply the fact that my father was a truck driver, albeit one of the reasonably sane variety.

I find this sort of scenario entertaining to watch play out, so I will definitely be taking WRECKER for a spin next month. How about you?
