Well folks the last we heard on THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D John Lussenhop had found his ‘Leatherface’ in unknown monster Dan Yeager and today it seems we’ve got an update coming from the set courtesy of ‘Leatherface’ himself!
You see not only has Yeager posted up a few behind the scenes shots for us over at his Facebook page but he also shared the following message:
“This is my first official post on my official page. All I can say at the moment is, it’s thrilling to chase someone down with a chainsaw. We’re on lunch break, day 9 of shooting. It is 1:22 AM. … I am staying as faithful as I can to the work that Gunnar Hansen did in the original. I’ve also tried to interpret his life experiences explored in this film. I would say, the most significant change in Leatherface is that he can no longer rely on others to think for him. I can’t say more without getting into specifics of the script. … We just finished a long day of shooting, culminating in a pivotal scene. It’s one of the major elements of the script that makes me believe we are making an extraordinary movie. I wish I could tell you more, but alas…”
Thrilling to chase someone down with a chainsaw, huh Mr. Yeager? I wouldn’t know anything about that… But hey at least it’s good to see the new ‘Leatherface’ enjoying himself right?!
Along with Yeager THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D also stars Bill Moseley, Alexandra Daddario, Tania Raymonde (below), Sue Rock, Trey Songz, Gunnar Hansen, Tobe Hooper, Marilyn Burns, Keram Malicki-Sanchez, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry, Paul Rae, Scott Eastwood and Richard Riehle. It’s filming right now in Shreveport, Louisiana with an October 5, 2012 release date already pegged.
