I was surprised at the backlash directed at Zach Galifianakis in the article from earlier this week regarding his alleged verbal scuffle with January Jones. I thought it was a funny story but many people seemed pissed at Galifianakis (sample comment: “i wish him a short career and may he be carried off into obscurity by his own douche bagness”).
Count me in the group that still finds Galifianakis funny and looks forward to his work (even though I remains skeptical on THE HANGOVER, PART II). That includes “Between Two Ferns,” his Funny or Die interview segment.
The latest installment is online with guest Will Ferrell. It’s got its moments but the show tends to work best when the guests themselves aren’t trying to be in on the joke (see: Sean Penn, Ben Stiller, Steve Carell). Also this episode recycles a joke from an earlier installment. Still, it’s worth watching to see both Ferrell and Galifianakis try not to laugh as the latter forces strawberries in the former’s mouth and then eats them out.
