One of the more intriguing new shows this fall is Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story”. The ads have been wonderfully bizarre, and hell, what’s not to like about a new horror television show on the horizon – especially one about a haunted house?

A new member to the cast has been brought in, a face familiar to geeks everywhere: Zachary Quinto. Quinto is most likely best known as the new Mr. Spock in STAR TREK. He also played the villainous Syler on NBC’s “Heroes”.

On “American Horror Story”, Quinto will play a gay interior designer who used to be the owner of the show’s centerpiece haunted house.

According to TVLine, Quinto’s character will be introduced in the show’s big two-part Halloween episode. The first part will air in the series’ regular Wednesday time slot on Oct. 26, followed by Part 2 on Halloween night.

Quinto joins Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton and Jessica Lange in the scary series, which debuts with a 90-minute premiere on OCTOBER 5th.
