B-D scored the scoop that Nick Zano, who recently wrapped filming JOY RIDE: END OF THE ROAD, has been cast as the lead in the upcoming HD 3-D FINAL DESTINATION 4!
While note 100% official, various sources have confirmed the news, and leads us to believe the fourth installment is headed back to the original FINAL DESTINATION format, which featured a male lead, rather than the way of the sequels, which both featured female leads.
FINAL DESTINATION 2 director David R. Ellis is on board to direct the fourth installment, which also features a car crash (of sorts) that kick-starts the movie – this time, a crash during a ‘NASCAR’ race, with wreckage debris making it into the crowd, killing (and missing) a few unsuspecting youths.
Considering FD2’s car crash sequence is one of the best car crash sequences ever filmed (yup, I said it), I have high hopes that Ellis will deliver the goods again – and in HD 3-D??? It better be no less than totally awesome!
